Our story

Built through relationships.
Grounded in purpose.

Ajijaak Mu-He-Kan brings Indigenous perspectives and practical experience to the work of building stronger communities, organizations, and economies.

A prairie road stretching into the distance

Diversity of Thought. Unity of Purpose.

From experience to shared purpose.

Founded by Patrick Dinsdale and J. Kyle Balsdon, Ajijaak Mu-He-Kan grew from years of working in, with, and for Indigenous peoples and organizations. Its foundation is frontline problem-solving: understanding barriers, bringing people together, and developing practical responses.

We are an Indigenous-owned and operated consultancy and social enterprise working across Indigenous engagement, economic development, and business support. Our work connects different perspectives with a common purpose: stronger relationships and community-informed opportunity.

We tailor our work to each organization’s goals and circumstances. Through workshops, facilitation, strategic guidance, and partnership development, we help people build the capacity to act.

Our approach also takes shape through entrepreneurial ventures, including Miskwaadesi M’Nauhan Decorative Arts Inc. and majority ownership participation in Nation to Nation Water Inc.
